The model estimates exterior wall surfaces plus a partition allowance based on room count. It includes ceiling drywall, applies your waste percentage, and rounds up to purchasable units.
Drywall sheets = (wall area + ceiling area) × waste factor ÷ 32
Verify before ordering
Create a measured room-by-room takeoff and check product coverage. Fire-rated assemblies, moisture-resistant panels, insulation type, framing spacing, and local code are not selected by this general calculator.

Why are 4 × 8 sheets assumed?
They provide a consistent planning unit. Larger sheets can reduce seams but require a different layout and handling plan.
